Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had done a couple of sections from a test, and we were able to use that to continue discussing key LSAT concepts. We ran through two games and several logical reasoning questions, reviewing basic question types and overall sketching strategies."
"The student and I went over the remaining LR questions from his test, and while he may not think there was much improvement, there absolutely was. We still have work to do, but it will get done! Keep up the phenomenal work with games!"
"Today was almost entirely about Logical Reasoning. We spent the first half of the session going over what went wrong on the student's practice test and how we could adjust his approach. After really hashing out what was going on, we talked about taking a slower, more deliberate pace on Logical Reasoning sections. As he worked through a section at this pace, I went through some review material he had and built out a schedule for him to study different kinds of LR questions in the coming days. We then went over a few of the questions from this practice session and planned our next meeting."
"The bulk of the session was reviewing 3 Logic Games sections the student came across in his studying during the week. They were tough ones for sure. He's developing stronger instincts, and it's a good sign that the tough ones were the ones asked about. We spent the last 30 minutes or so on some Logical Reasoning questions. The student made solid progress with those. He's definitely continuing to grow in breaking apart the pieces of an argument."
"The student and I began by working on logical reasoning questions. Her pacing is now quite advanced, and she is finishing well ahead of the goal time. Her accuracy has also improved, though she is still struggling a bit with strengthen/weaken and assumption questions. I sent her some mastery work for these question types. We also went over logic games. She is also doing better with timing on this section and accuracy. We went over some of the harder games/questions to help her get more comfortable on this section."
"The student took another practice test before this session and again achieved a high score increase from the December LSAT. We worked on games today including more strategy for answering difficult questions."
