Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We prepared the student for her Friday Spanish test. We worked on a lot of vocabulary and verbs. She has improved in her grade which is great, just 3% away from an A!"
"In this session the student and I went over her Spanish quiz she took at school. After that we went over the topics learned in the previous session. In addition to that we learned new vocabulary and continued working on the second half of the chapter "Vacations." In this new session we learned about activities and resorts in the winter time. In addition to that we are still learning and getting acquainted with the preterite and using this new way of conjugating verbs within the vacation context. The last part of the tutoring session we learned the "indirect pronouns." This session was very productive because we were able to accomplish a lot and the student seemed enthusiastic and eager to learn."
"Had my second session with the student. Yet again he was very eager and inquisitive, writing down vocabulary words he thought he might need to know whilst traveling and succeeding fairly well at discussing complicated ideas in Spanish. He wanted to conduct the whole lesson in Spanish. Generally his comprehension is very good, he only has trouble understanding the less common tenses (past subjunctive, conditional). We went over some cultural differences (formal and informal) as well as the personal "a". He is still struggling with grammar, but his sentences for the most part are formed well enough to understand what he means. Definitely improved from the last session, I think he will do fine with basic communication while traveling."
