"The student had a test coming up in Geometry, and had a packet of proofs using properties of parallel lines and angles she wanted to work on, so we went through the packet and did a lot of the proofs. We also looked for practice problems that the teacher might put on the test, and worked on a number of problems where you find the measure of a number of angles in a figure using different properties of parallel lines."
"The student and I worked homework over parallel lines and traversals, same side interior/exterior angles, alternate interior/exterior angles, vertical angles, perpendicular lines, supplementary and complementary angles."
"The student and I spent our time going over the basic algebra and geometry concepts of slope: y2 - y1 / x2- x1 = m sort of stuff. After working through that, we talked about how to find perpendicular and parallel lines from equations and two points."
"I made some practice problems for the student similar to problems her mom had sent me prior to meeting. When we met, she went over these as well as some problems she had questions on. She seemed very confident for her test tomorrow."
"We tackled a tricky geometry project (it was actually quite clever and fun), and we reviewed an online physics quiz together. She is a smart girl, but just needs to be slightly careful when working out math so that she doesn't make simple errors."
"Today's session with the student went very well. He missed his exam so we have another day to work on review. He was super focused and seemed to want to do a good job."
