Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We discussed hypothesis testing and completed three tests of two means. He needed less help with each problem, demonstrating a better understanding each time."
"The student's final exam is coming up, so we reviewed all the different statistical tests learned so far, and how to discern which one to use given the data. We also worked in greater detail on examples of related sample t tests."
"The student has a review session tomorrow and the final on Monday. She seems to know a lot of the information; she has done a great job studying and keeping up with the work to put herself in great position for the test. It has been a pleasure working with her!"
"The student is learning about linear regressions. She had done some of the homework and had a basic idea of how to find r, but couldn't remember where to look for it on her calculator. We found the correct test to use and I showed her how to use it. After doing a few practice problems, she felt confident and we moved onto creating the regression equations. I showed her that the equations are of the form y=a+bx, and where to find a and b on her calculator. She had some trouble getting that concept down, so she will try doing some on her own, and come to our meeting on Monday with any issues she still has."
"Covered Chapter 9: Hypothesis Testing; Sect. 9.3: Hypothesis Testing for Population Mean When Population Standard Deviation Known; Sect. 9.4: Hypothesis Testing for Population Mean When Population Standard Deviation is Unknown."
"We reviewed for her test the following day. We went through her practice test and focused on the problems she was confused on. We finished the session by looking through her notes and book to pull out the main information she would possibly need for the test."
