Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"My second GMAT tutoring session with the student went well. We started by going over the assigned questions that he had trouble with in the Problem Solving section of the GMAT guide. Then we moved to the assigned questions in the Data Sufficiency section. We focused on understanding the wording in some of the Data Sufficiency questions. By examining the statements one at a time, the student more easily found the correct answer to the question. We then moved to questions in the Critical Reasoning section. The student did well at identifying the type of question, what the question is asking, the conclusion, the assumption, and the evidence. Similarly to the Data Sufficiency section, in the Critical Reasoning section, once the student looked at the answer choices one at a time, he could more easily determine which was the best choice."
"We covered calculating percentages of totals, what percentage of the total is a certain number, and how to add and subtract percentages to and from the original amount."
"We went over factoring and prime factorization and how it would be used on the GMAT. We also continued our work on Data Sufficiency, with lots of homework for the student from his Data Sufficiency test prep book."
