Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today's session covered solution reactions with spectator ions. We worked through a worksheet with sample problems where the student needed to determine the limiting reactant, calculate theoretical yield, and concentrations of spectator ions and excess reactants. The student expressed confidence in understanding the topic and would like extra practice working through problems. I will provide additional practice worksheet through online resources."
"We covered gas laws, simplifying radicals, writing a business plan, and writing a summary of an article from a science journal. She struggled some with identifying which parts of the article were important to include in the summary. She was engaged and motivated. I included the teach-back strategy. I asked her to review census.gov to gather information for her business plan."
"We went over the three important properties of an ideal surfactant are that it should be capable of inducing smoother growth, immiscible in the film so that negligible amount of surfactant atoms are incorporated in the film and thirdly it should be easily removable at the completion of the growth."
