Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student and I reviewed concepts from chapter 6, including confidence intervals and calculating different types of standard deviations."
"The student and I discussed Poisson distributions and normal distributions. We went over the variables/parameters associated with each distribution. We also did some practice problems involving Poisson distributions. We also briefly reviewed the probability equations from our last session."
"The student and I reviewed her most recent quizzes and scanned her upcoming homework. We discussed how important it is to use the process of elimination with this professor's tests."
"We reviewed a study guide pertaining to treatment, the four criteria for experimental design, and threats to internal validity. The student's final project will be due in two weeks, so we will work on finalizing her paper and data analysis in future sessions."
"The student and I started with related rates, which she was good with, but needs to make sure she's using the correct formula. The problems showed a picture which helped with understanding the formula to use. For the rest of the session we worked on particle motion, which she understands but just needs to take her time in completing."
"Today's lesson was on relative frequencies and percentages. It was a nice way for the student to practice his percent calculations as well as fractions. We worked through his homework with some problems relating a small group to the total number. He did a great job today!"
