Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I have moved onto a new chapter: Food and Agriculture. Tonight, we covered Key Issues 1 and 2, which centered on farming and the local diversity of food. He had very few questions on this chapter, which was great. He definitely did a great job reading it! We also discussed whether he should take World History next year."
"Today we discussed test taking strategies and went over 1-10 of the multiple choice questions in the course description. The student said he struggled with a couple of concepts: diffusion and culture. I plan to create some practice questions dealing with these topics for Thursday."
"At today's session, the student and I focused on preparing for her upcoming midterm in AP Human Geography. The midterm covers political geography and agriculture, so we focused on the key concepts presented in those two units. She and I discussed the terminology, spoke of specific examples, created diagrams, and mnemonic devices to help her remember the material. As we moved through the key concepts, I would continually go back to things that we had previously discussed to reinforce them. She left the session feeling confident about the upcoming test. We also briefly reviewed key concepts for her English midterm."
