Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Very Good lesson! The student and I worked on conversation, listening and grammar. The student continues to make progress towards fluency. She always has a positive attitude throughout the whole class and has made a lot of progress since we first started."
"We went over his flashcards and corrected some present tense verb conjugations. We focused on practice speaking Spanish to one another and answering questions regarding school schedules and common objects around the house/school (utilized workbook and improvised). The student will receive an assignment over the weekend to prepare for his first day of school next Tuesday."
"We focused on trying to remember each verb and if it has an irregularity in its conjugation or not. When we meet today the student will need one of her books (Math or Spanish) to give me a better idea of what direction to focus her tutoring."
"The student and I centered our session with her first Spanish quiz in mind. We worked on reading comprehension/translations of passages. We also took a closer look at the construction of reflexive verbs in the present indicative."
"Focused on "The Evolution of Spanish Vowels" both tonically and atonally, compared the Latin phonetics to the present day Spanish equivalent by expanding the oral vowel chart. Completed the session by transliterating Latin words to their Spanish equivalents based on our knowledge of Spanish linguistics."
"During this class, the student took a test about ser and estar, verbs that are very challenging in Spanish, since they both mean in English, to be. He is doing very well by memorizing all the rules. He also read a few readings in a new text book I gave him. My suggestions for him were not to translate each word. Now he is doing much better in that aspect."
