Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"This was the first time I have seen the student in quite awhile. He was on task the entire session. The chemistry book begins with chemical reactions. I believe once we become more familiar with this book that he will be more successful and confident."
"Today was the first session with the student. We covered electron configuration notation, dot structures (of both single atoms and molecules, orbital shapes, and orbital diagrams. He seemed to understand everything fairly well, and correctly answered questions related to the topic. As he already had homework related to the topic, I did not see a need to assign any extra. Overall, a very good session, with no issues."
"Today the student and I went over quantum mechanical concepts that were on her homework assignment. We first talked about the different relationships between light, frequency, and wavelength. We learned that with Planck's constant, the speed of light, and the wavelength, we can calculate the energy that is omitted. We also talked about how the energy given off is inversely proportional to the wavelength. Next time we are going to talk about net ionic equations and keep reviewing some of her older chapters. She is a great student who just needs a little confidence booster on the material."
