Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student is doing a great job with volume and surface area. We reviewed those concepts, multiplying fractions, and longer multiplication problems. In our around the world game, she is doing a great job thinking moves ahead and making strategic decisions."
"We had our last meeting today. The student asked me some general questions on how to approach center problems. We talked about area, perimeter, and Pythagorean theorem. We also quickly went over simplifying, exponent rules, and permutations. I hope she will do well on her exam tomorrow. She has come a long way from when we began to the present."
"Today we covered primarily transformations, such as rotations, reflections, and translations. We also covered congruence in shapes on the next section of the student's module. The student was understanding all the material today and seemed confident about it. She also told me she did very well on her last exam."
"The student and I began to review material for his final. Today we went over system of equations and inequalities. I showed him how to graph and use substitution and elimination for system of equations."
"We worked through the worksheets on combined shapes (rectangular and triangular prisms, cylinders, and cones). We also went over the material that was on the student's quiz, and all the questions the girls had regarding the worksheet they did already in class."
"We finished up her book homework that covered higher degree polynomials. We also discussed her finals schedule, and what days to meet next week to prepare. I have some ideas of topics to review, but we will need to keep discussing it as the final approaches. It is on Tuesday. She is grasping the material fairly well, so I am not worried about her doing poorly. This is her only upcoming test for the rest of the school year in this subject matter."
