"Printed out all the homework questions for chapters 5 & 6 and I have chapters 5 & 6 with me from the book so I can go through and highlight the items that might be on the exam as multiple choice questions. Teacher told him 5 & 6 were mainly going to be multiple choice and then gave them two questions in chapter 7 that were going to be on the exam and they will be doing chapter 8 on Thursday. He is doing the questions in chapter 7 right now and will be sending me his answers so I can check his work on-line before class. I will also be highlighting all the points in chapters 5 and 6 that I think he should pay attention to for the multiple choice and also going through the homework he printed out for chapters 5 and 6 and highlight there as well. Shared with me a paper from his writing/grammar class- wanted my interpretation of what the prof was asking for about the first paragraph being expanded and gave that to him. It was a very cogently written paper; it was very well written in terms of conveying what he was saying about the topic (an important decision you have made)."
"Worked on Statement of Cash Flows. Identified cash flows from operations, investing, and financing."
"The student is doing well and working through many of the problems himself. Today we reviewed pension expense, accumulated other comprehensive income, pension expense, projected benefit obligation, and cash contributions. We worked through four problems, and I had him explain them to me. On the last AOCI problem, we collaborated and I showed him a number line that described how amortizing gains or losses affected the calculation. We reviewed the basic concepts of a Section 1031 like-kind exchange and reviewed the terms "adjusted basis" and "boot." He will review tax concepts and pensions for next week."
