Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today's session was split into two parts. The first half was spent doing homework. The student was working on multiplication word problems and she is showing improvement in working through the multiplication sentences. The second half of the session was spent researching for her school project."
"The student and I worked on her fractions homework. Checked over things such as mixed fractions, LCM, and reducing fractions. Homework centered around adding and subtracting fractions. I suggested that she watch a video online on the rules of integers (negative and positive) to brush up on some of these rules since she's having a little trouble remembering how to add negative and positive numbers."
"We focused on reviewing what the student had covered in prior sessions, as well as work on adding, multiplying, and dividing decimals (what his teacher recommended working on since this is the focus of math for the month of November). He is improving in his ability to calculate the time elapsed."
"This session we reviewed multiplying fractions as well as fractions with number lines. The student was more attentive and in a better mood this session. He did very well with reading the word problems and using charts to show his answers. He appeared to be more confident, as well."
"We reviewed all the student's past homework and test papers for the nine weeks, correcting all her missed problems. She noted the technique I shared for focusing and calming worked for her during the test!"
"First, I worked with Student 1 on fractions. She seemed to catch on quickly. Then, I worked with Student 2 on reading and math. She is a very good student. Finally, I worked on reading and math with Student 3. She did very well too."
