Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered through enthalpy and heat gained for equations, Hess' law, and converting between joules and calories. The student is doing really well. There was only one issue that she had on the Hess' law. For the most part, she was able to complete all of the problems on her own with me checking the answers at the end of each question."
"Today was our first session, so we went back a few chapters in the material (from her Chemistry class) and discussed some fundamental concepts. We went over a few problems in her book, mostly regarding the formation of chemical equations. We talked about how reactants and products are depicted in these equations and balanced a few. She has a great hold on most of the concepts, but we worked out the kinks on a few. We also discussed combustion reactions, combination reactions and decomposition reactions. Towards the end of the session, we started to get into conversions, a subject that we will focus on more next time (this Thursday)."
"Topics: In this session we covered the concepts of calorimetry, enthalpies of reaction, and Hess's Law. We also covered several practice problems in preparation for the student's exam."
