Tutoring review by Shannon in Town and Country, MO
The student says he felt good about his Chapter 7 test from last week, but they haven't gotten it back yet. Today, we went over the beginning of his new chapter - Chapter 8. He had very little homework, so after finishing this, we went over the concepts to make sure he was fully understanding. The practice definitely helped him. I created new problems involving the geometric means, and naming similar triangles. He is very open to learning these new concepts but needs repetition in order to perfect his skill sets and become quicker. We also went over the two theorems involving the altitude and legs of right triangles, mostly for conceptual purposes and not memorization as of yet.

Her mother asked me to bring extra practice work with me to next session so that the student could continue honing her skills. Next week, we will begin with reading comprehension, word problems, and multiplying fractions.
